In Memory of Doug Henwood - A Lancaster Golden Gale Through and Through
Doug Henwood, LHS Boys and Girls Track Head Coach, passed away on May 13, 2008. He coached for a total of 35 years at LHS leading the Gales to 8 Central District titles, 7 OCC Championships in 9 years, 9 individual State titles and also earning OCC Ohio Division and Central District Coach of the Year honors 6 times. LHS Basketball History
Ever wonder how the Gale Force got its' start?  Well wonder no more, Coach Davis has answered this question and tells the story of the Gales journey to 1000 wins.  Click here to read "Lancaster Basketball History".

LHS Senior Forward Bret McKnight signs a Basketball scholarship with Akron University. Brett averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game as the Gales finished the season 25-2 and advanced to the State Semifinal. He will join his brother Chris on the Zips Basketball Team.

Lancaster 57 Brookhaven 56

The Gale Force pulled out a 57-56 victory over Brookhaven in the DI Regional Semifinals in dramatic fashion. With 0.4 seconds remaining in the game Brant Leitnaker missed a free throw, but Brett McKnight kept it alive and gave Chris McKnight the chance to tip in. AND HE DID! Go to box score.
