Lancaster Football v Gahanna (OCC Ohio)
A
Perfect Night!
It was a perfect night to honor
the Seniors at Fulton Field, and once the ceremonies
were finished, the Seniors had cemented their own legacy
by remaining unbeaten this year in front of the home
crowd, and all but punching their ticket to the Ohio
Division I State Football Playoffs.
Two minutes into the game,
on Lancaster's fourth play from scrimmage, Trevor Griffith
broke loose for a 42 yard Touchdown run to make it 7-0.
The Golden Gales defense did the rest until the fourth
quarter when Reed scored from 1 yard out after three
big plays to make it 14-7. With less than two
minutes to go, Gahanna capped off a 75 yard drive with
an incomplete pass as time expired, unleashing a Gale
force celebration heading toward the State Football
playoffs. Image by Deidre
Webb.
Scoring: Trevor
Griffith, 41 yard TD run. Jesse Reed,
2 yard TD run. Chris Dilger, 2 PATs. Go

Lancaster Football v Groveport (OCC Ohio)
Lancaster
wins Homecoming thriller v Groveport 35-21
The
Gales took control early, let off the gas, and gave
up a 21-0 lead to the Groveport Cruisers. That's when
the Gales Defense stepped up and took control of the
game. Sean Gorby provided the spark with an interception
and return all the way to the Groveport 6 yard line
which resulted in a Gales Touchdown, then Senior Ryan
Cheek made a big play in the end zone resulting in a
Safety and 2 more points added to Cheek's 29 yard Touchdown
run and two extra point kicks for the night. Lancaster
is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Capital Conference
Ohio Division. Groveport falls to 4-2 overall
and 0-1 in OCC Divisional play.

Lancaster 13
Pickerington Central 24 Coming
off of a tough tough week, the Gales shuffled around
illnesses suffered by 15 players and eventually rendered
two Lancaster starters out for Friday's big game. The
Golden Gales mustered up everything they had to keep
the game tied through three quarters, then the Tigers
took over by scoring 21 in the third quarter making
it a 13-24 loss. This was the first time the Pickerington
Tigers beat Lancaster in five years. The Gales
are 3-2 overall and begin Ohio Division play next Friday
v Groveport at Home.
Lancaster 26 Grove City 24 Overcoming
a hamstring injury from last week, and two first half
fumbles, Jessee Reed took the sound advice given to
him by Jonathan and Georgie Carpenter, and accumulated
185 yards on 22 carries and scored a career best four
Touchdowns. The Lancaster defense took care of the rest
by intercepting three Grove City passes and the Golden
Gales (2-1) hold off Grove City (0-3) 26-24.
Scoring: Jessee
Reed 5 yard TD run, 2 yard TD run, 3 yard TD run, 14
yard TD run. 22 rushes for 185 yards, 4 Touchdowns (career
best). Ryan Morris - 7 carries for 60 yards. Chris Lash
- 4 completions on 7 attempts and 57 yards, 1 interception.
Jordan Shull 2 PATs.
