“Sam” Swinehart set an OCC Girls
Golf record on August 19, 2009. Sam shot a
66 (7 birdies) for the 18 hole round at the
OCC meet held at Raymond Memorial CC. The
score was also a course record for a female

TOURNAMENT
The Lady Gales Golf team earned a berth
in the central District golf tournament
by finishing third in the sectional golf
tournament, defeating New Albany by one
stroke, with a score of 369 at Mill Creek
Golf course. Samantha Swinehart was the
sectional medalist with a 71. This marks
the sixth straight year that a Lancaster
golfer has been the medalist in the sectional
tournament. Also scoring for the lady gales
were crystal Corley with 92, Erin Parrott
with a 95, Logan Burkhart with a 107 and
Valerie McCandlish with a 109. The Lady
Gales play for a state tournament spot on
Oct, 13 at Bent Tree Golf course.

Lancaster Golden Gales Golf
Superstar Allie White successfully defended her 06 Girls
Golf State Championship by shooting a 145, two strokes
better than Runner Up Shamira Marshall of Nordonia.
Allie is now Lancaster High School's only Two Time
Golf State Champion and only the third in OHSAA history!
Sophomore sensation Samantha Swinehart
struggled with 42 putts during the big show, largely
due to gusting winds which seemed to spike putting totals
for the entire tour, but she managed to maintain control
and end up with a total of 152, making Sam the fourth
best Division I Girls Golfer in Ohio.

Allie White and Samantha Swinehart have qualified for
the DI State Golf Tournament. Allie will defend her
State Champion title and Samantha will join in State
Tournament action on Friday, Oct. 19th and Saturday,
Oct. 20th at Ohio State's Scarlet and Gray Course. Good

7th grader Samantha Swinehart is the 1st athlete in the
Junior High Golf program to hit a hole in one. Swinehart aced
