Lancaster Golden Gales Wrestling team has its end of the season awards banquet. The HS Team and the Junior High Team were joined by their families and friends. 12.18.04 JV: The Lancaster Golden GALES JV Wrestling Team traveled to Reynoldsburg to take part in the Christmas Classic. Joining the GALES were: Big Walnut, Circleville, Delaware Hayes, Dublin Coffman, Grove City, Hamilton Township, Logan Elm, Marysville, Mt. Vernon, Olentangy Liberty, Teays Valley, Westerville Central, Westerville South, Westland, Whitehall, Worthington Kilbourne, Reynoldsburg and Groveport. At this JV Tournament no team scores were kept, but each wrestlers was able to earn medals for placing. BRINGING HOME THE WINS FOR THE GALES WERE: 103: Corey Lutz had wins over K. Pryor of Hamilton Township with a pin at 3:45 and T. Stanfill of Olentangy with a pin at 1:20. Corey Lutz placed SECOND. 125: Phil Lerch had wins over C. Moffatt of Whitehall with a tech fall (19-4) and N. Hill of Mt. Vernon by points (11-2) and M. Clark of Grove City with a pin at 2:25. Lancaster Wrestling held its 2nd annual Takedown dinner on November 19th. This event was enjoyed by 175 people. Coach Pennycuff and Coach Bruno both talked about goals for the up coming season. The returning seniors shared their goals for the up coming season. Lancaster wrestling would like to thank the follow group of people for all their hard work in helping with the Takedown Dinner.
