Memory of Doug Henwood - ALancaster
Golden Gale Through and Through
Doug Henwood, LHS Boys and Girls Track Head Coach, passed away on
May 13, 2008. He coached for a total of 35 years at LHS leading the
Gales to 8 Central District titles, 7 OCC Championships in 9 years,
9 individual State titles and also earning OCC Ohio Division and Central
District Coach of the Year honors 6 times.

Winter Sports Meeting
There will be a Winter Mandatory Parent/Athlete Sport Meeting
for any athlete, grades 7-12, planning on participating in
a winter sport, and did NOT attend a fall meeting for the
2009-10 school year. It will be held on November 3, 2009 at
7pm in the LHS Auditorium with a parent or guardian. Questions?

DILLEY FINISHES 3RD
Kyle Dilley concluded his Wrestling career at Lancaster
HS by placing 3rd at the State Tournament in 171 weight
class. Kyle defeated Cody Lamberg of Akron Kenmore 12-7
to receive the 3rd place medal and earn All-State honors.
Kyle will continue his career at Ohio University. Logan
Strope, a freshman at 103, found the going tough after
an opening round victory. Logan lost the next two matches
but gained valuable experience.
